Inconsistency

I don't know what happened or if this will be a repeat. But I was posting about how dark it is this morning and how crisp the air is. How we used to pick apples and make fresh apple pie, while there were still local apple orchards in the area. How these little routine things were part of what made our life consistent. How consistency can be good, and though change is good routine can give you the freedom of choices you would not always make if you were always running to put out the next fire. I have always tried to be a "constant" in the lives of the children and grownups around me. Sometimes I failed but it was important for me to try. There is enough inconsistency in life, let love and friendship for those around you be the one thing that is there for others, and for yourself.

  1. Glucose For Idiots..Perhaps I need to get a copy of something plain and simple to keep my blood sugars under control. I'm one of those weird type II diabetic who gets high blood sugars while I am sleeping, they actually get better during the day...what am I doing at night..eating too much probably and too late..so I am having my dh hold me accountable after 7:00 as to my eating habits..I'll probably get mad at him, and get grouchy then I will realize he is only doing this to help me.

Diabetes can attack anyone, at anytime. Yes, when you are heavier, especially in the stomach area you are at higher risk. But there are young people in their early 20's developing type l diabetes. Can you imagine less then 75 years ago there was no insulin?

With a combination of western and eastern medicine I think diabetics can improve their lives. This one is certainly trying. Say your prayers for me today, I went to the doc and took my fasting bs..let's hope its working its way down! To all of you diabetics out there...you deserve to take care of yourself..you didn't ask for this disease you may have contributed to it but you can do your best to control it!

  2. Amazing Women...everday we meet amazing people today I met an amazing women with a fantastic attitude about life. She found a lump in her breast and they had to do a double masectomy. She has two grade school children and just went through a bitter divorce. She has such a wonderful attitude about life. This I will remember when I think I am having a rough day. At times when I want to have a pity party I think I will turn it into a prayer party for wonderful people like Lisa.
